End of the School Year

The school year has ended, where did the time go?  We did special activities the last week of school.  In our art class we made shrinky dinks.  They drew a design on the material and we put it in the oven and ended up with a nice medallion.

For our reading classes we played bingo (with letters or words) with candy as the markers.  Learning is fun, especially with candy involved!

We also went to the end of year celebration at the boys school where the top students were recognized with a special diploma.  When we entered the room, all the kids clapped for us and we were happy to clap for their achievements as well.

We also spent a day at Peris and the kids were so happy to see us.

We had come to see the reading program graduation that our colleagues put on.

The weather was very rainy that week.  What to do in the rain?

 Crazy hairdos!

And snuggling :)

The weather affected our plans for the next week of mountain camping...stay tuned to see if plan B was even better than plan A!  We are so proud of all our kids and the great improvements they have made this year in reading.  Pray that they continue to be excited for learning and they stay safe over this summer break.  Pray also that we would have the energy for all the camps this summer and that many seeds would be planted, watered, and even harvested.
