We met at a Christian fellowship while attending college at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. After college we were married on October 4, 2003. We enjoyed being involved at church in children's and small group ministry. We also enjoy camping, nature preserves, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. We first went to Romania in 2007 and that is when God began to stir something big in our hearts. After a 5 week trip in 2008 we seriously prayed about where God was leading us. We went to Romania full time in September of 2009 and worked there for five years with the abandoned children. Recently God has called us back to the states to pursue adoption through foster care. We are now trying to discern Gods call to stay in ministry and to continue to help broken and hurting children and families.
