It is hard to believe that it has been a week since our wee visit to Scotland! So many things have been going on, it's the start of the busiest ministry season of the year. We have a team from Canada here now and are working with them, translating and helping them to help us minister. We have been really enjoying having them here and have been enjoying playing a larger role in working with them since we don't have language classes to go to.

The baby hospital was quarantined again for a week and a half, due to an isolated case of a bacterial infection in another hospital. We don't know all the details but it was due in part to a doctor's negligence. Because of that all the hospitals in Bucuresti were closed. Thankfully we have been able to get back in again because we are supplying a large amount of diapers since the state cut off funding for diapers.

We helped out with the wedding of two graduates of the transition programs, the wedding was at the team house on Saturday. We did lots of work on the house and yard, including laying sod in the front because the grass was so bad. The wedding was great and the weather was beautiful, everything went very well.

Florin gave me a flower for my birthday and all of the kids told me "La multi ani" which means happy birthday. They also asked where the candy was because when it's your birthday you are supposed to bring candy for everyone. I was going to get some but totally forgot, so I sent some along later and it was handed out in my name.

I had a birthday party where I received lots of chocolate. Jenny made earthquake cake which is one of my new favorites.

Tricky to remember all the cultural expectations (i.e. candy on b-day)...!

Team from Canada - hmmm - how long have they been there? I am following a blog of a Canadian in Romania right now... she's in Oradea ... so maybe another team that is with another group??
Love seeing the pictures of the kids at McDonalds! Vic looks adorable and it so heartwarming to see them just being kids eating happy meals and playing at the park! Love what you guys are doing and we love you too!
Blessings,
Steven and Haley
